PROJECT
2:
NIGHTLY AUDIOs
We will be listening
to various
audio samples while asleep to see which files create the best effects
for lucid dreaming purposes.
The files contain several
different lucidity-triggering messages designed to slip
into your dreams and help you realize that you are
dreaming.
|
|
"Whether good or bad, external stimulus will slip into your dreaming
awareness."
|
|
I am sure that you have fallen asleep
with your TV on
at one time or another. For a long time before I began
learning how to lucid dream, I would always sleep with the TV on, and
I would notice quite frequently that the TV
show's content would slip into my dreams. It probably
happens a LOT more than one would realize since the
only time one would every really know it had occurred
would be if one were to awaken directly from a dream
and notice the same scenario or conversation was taking
place in your dreams and the TV program. Along this
same line of reasoning it is possibly to maximize your
odds of becoming lucid during the night by listening to
messages that tell you that "It is in fact a dream!".
|
This project will be testing different
styles of audio messages
containing lucidity-cues. They consist of 4 different styles of suggestion
triggers intended to be looped/repeated while you are sleeping. Of the
4 styles there are 2 types. One, the original, is simply a 20 second file
that can be looped so it will loop a non-stop repeating message. The second
version is longer and has 20 seconds of messaging followed by 3 minutes
of silence so it sends the trigger message once every three minutes.
The original will
be the one that has no number after it. The longer version of the original
will be "the name of the sample" with a 2 after it. There
are also different styles which will have numbers higher than 2.

To partake in giving feedback for this project, you
can use the ONLINE
RESPONSE FORM to keep track of your experiences with each sample.
Simply type in your name and the name of the NIGHTLY AUDIO file you sampled
the previous night (or whenever). Instead of filling out all of the
checkboxes and text fields, just go down to the bottom of the form
and fill in the last text box that asks for personal comments on your
experiences. This will work perfectly for keeping track of which files
worked best..
Good
luck with your audio triggering!
